OK, Coach lovers out there, even you will have to admit that this is a stupid waste of money. I didn't want to continue ragging on Coach but I couldn't let this one go. This is an alligator that they are trying to sell for $10,000 in their Legacy collection. I don't think there is going to be much of a legacy when nobody buys anything. If they did their market research or just read Bag Snob, they would know that their bread and butter is in lower priced practical leather bags that women buy until they have enough money to move up on the designer hierarchy. Once women can afford beyond Coach, why buy Coach? Someone who is regularly buying Chanel and Lanvin isn't suddenly going to be woo-ed and wowed by a Coach, especially an exotic. You will get laughed at and ridiculed as nouveau riche for not knowing designers other than ones that are carried at Macy's. Celine Day One
This new bag from Celine is incredibly lady like and classic, that is what they are known for, but there is a flair about this one that I haven't seen from them in a while. I loved the versatile double totebut just one look and you can see that this Day One bag is way more respectable. The look of the moment is grandma-chic, young girls taking old lady styles and turning them hip and chic. And that is how I see this bag worn, it isn't entirely old lady but it isn't Marni either, there is no trace of trendiness about it. But yet, it is trendy. How ironic! The knot and tassel just gives it a little something something for our eyes to feast on, while the rest of the bag is perfect in its simplicity. The straps in the front continue around to the back so there is interest no matter how you turn the bag. This is all you need for the season, and one I would definitely recommend for those looking to get just the one (since people complained that the Chanel Caviar toteis too pricey). Everyone freaked over the color of Coco's Puzzle Bag but Chanel loyalists didn't feel any love towards the jigsaw motif so I thought I'd offer the classic version of this season's hot shade. If you are not bored with the classic 2.55 flap bag reissue, here it is in metallic blue. The shade is electrifying and a total attention grabber not to mention absolutely fabulous! As you all know, this is the first handbagdesigned by Mademoiselle Chanel and it will last beyond your lifetime, a worthy investment indeed.
